Shuchil Introduces Line of Organic Pet Toiletries

Considered one of the pioneers in eco-friendly production of shampoo, soaps and essential oils in El Salvador, Shuchil will now introduce a line of pet care products at BioFach and All Things Organic. The company, established 18 years ago, first searched for traditional formulas and native herbs to develop a line of high quality soaps with positive effects on the skin without the need of animal testing.

“The organic market is now expanding and more interest for allergy-free cosmetics is growing”, said managing director Matilde  Carrillo de Palomo, second generation of this family owned company. “First priority was given to organic food and personal care products, but now consumers are ready to offer their four-legged natural protection from common skin parasites and at Shuchil we have been searching for the best quality anti-fleas shampoo and soap that consumers could use with results comparable to conventional products but with pleasant aroma and without toxic substances not only for the parasites, but for pets and humans”.

The company offers a certified production of 50,000 soap bars and 60,000 shampoo bottles per month with a workforce of 29 employees. For the past 12 years, Shuchil has been exporting to the United States, Canada, Germany and to some countries in Central America. At BioFach, Shuchil will be part of the Central American pavilion with a dozen enterprises that with the assistance of several NGOs are ready to meet the demands of the international trade.
